Community Gospel Choir

Freeway Community Gospel Choir is a people’s choir who love to sing with energy and enthusiasm. Performing Gospel and well known favourites the Choir encourages audience participation in a way that brings out the singer in all of us.

Formed in 2008 by Freeway Christian Life Centre the Choir meets a need in the community to provide a ‘community outlet’ for people to sing and learn more about music.  Connections, friendships, fun and a sense of community involvement have evolved. The Choir focuses on ‘singing with one voice’ and bringing a positive message to audiences of all ages.

Based in Chelsea the Choir has performed at RSL’s, Fundraising events, Community Carols and City of Kingston events. Currently with over 30 members, the group rehearses weekly and encourages new members to join. Auditions are not required; all you need is a heart to sing. Vocal training and music direction is provided by Angela and Justin McLaren (www.thetonefactory.com.au)

Performance
The choir is able to perform a number of songs (aprox 45 mins) including some solo highlights and acapella pieces.
